Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a reservation to dine at Brontë?

Reservations are strongly recommended, as Brontë is an intimate fine dining restaurant with limited seating. Tables can be reserved via WhatsApp at +63 917 183 9746, by sending a DM to @bronterestaurant on Instagram, or by using the inquiry form on this page. Walk-ins are accommodated when space allows.

Is Brontë an Australian restaurant? What's the cuisine?

Yes — Brontë is an Australian fine dining restaurant helmed by Chef Wade Watson. The menu centres on premium Australian beef (including Wagyu), fresh seafood, timeless classic dishes, and a serious wine program drawn from Australian and international producers. It is not a casual dining venue — the approach is refined and rooted in proper culinary technique.

How is "Brontë" pronounced?

Brontë is pronounced "Brawn-tee" — like the beach south of Bondi in Sydney, Australia, which inspired the name. The two dots above the E (called a diaeresis) indicate that both vowels are pronounced separately. The restaurant's name also intentionally evokes the Brontë literary sisters, adding a layer of cultural depth to the branding.

Where exactly is Brontë located?

Brontë is located at the Levanto Building, 389 Jupiter Street, Makati City. The Levanto Building is quickly becoming one of Makati's most exciting dining destinations. The restaurant is on an upper floor, offering a beautifully designed dining room with views of the surrounding greenery. Parking is available at the building.

Can I host a private event or function at Brontë?

Yes. Brontë is available for private dining events, corporate dinners, celebratory meals, and bespoke occasions. We've previously hosted intimate launches, diplomatic dinners, and media events. For private bookings of 11 or more guests, please send a message via WhatsApp or use the inquiry form above, and our team will work with you on a tailored arrangement.

Is there a dress code?

We ask guests to dress smart casual or better. Brontë is a fine dining restaurant and the space is designed to feel elevated. We want you to feel comfortable and look the part — think a nice blouse or collared shirt, not gym wear or beach attire. We appreciate guests who come dressed in the spirit of a great evening out.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions or allergies?

Yes — please inform us of any dietary restrictions or allergies when making your reservation. We will do our best to accommodate you. Chef Wade Watson's kitchen is committed to working with guests to ensure a safe and enjoyable dining experience. Please note that some dishes may contain allergens and advance notice allows us to prepare accordingly.

Who is Chef Wade Watson?

Chef Wade Watson is an Australian chef who has built a devoted following in Manila through his beloved casual concept, Bondi & Bourke. Brontë is his first fine dining restaurant in the Philippines — a more elevated expression of the same philosophy: exceptional Australian ingredients, rigorous technique, and genuine hospitality. He co-founded Brontë alongside Derek Ramsay.
